Possible Human health complications
The humans involved in the Mozambique flood were faced with disease and death. Diseases, mostly cholera and malaria, were carried through the water and 'distributed' the the individuals near it. They suffered that, as well as many drownings and re-locations due to destroyed homes and land. The survivors probably didn't have that many long lasting health concerns, however, the initial flood would have been the biggest factor in human survival. That's when the victims would have either drowned or died of malaria or cholera, and probably not many other factors. They probably also have had to endure dehydration, which could result in kidney damage. Since he flood cut off the water supply, they had two choices: drink dirty flood water, or die. If they do drink it, they are faced with diseases and other contaminants carried throughout the water; if they don't, dehydration.
